Notification software for small water districts
Prepare one notice.
Keep every record.
WaterNotify helps a district prepare and send emergency and service notices by text, in English and Spanish, with a record for every selected recipient.
The first trial uses staff phones. Customer messaging starts only after your district reviews the result.

The workflow
From billing export to delivery record.
The sequence stays short on purpose. Every step shows the operator what the system is about to do before a message leaves.
-
Import and check the customer list
Upload the export the billing system already produces. New rows, duplicates, invalid numbers, and missing addresses are reported before import.
-
Choose the notice and affected zone
Select district-approved wording, then target the full system or a saved zone. The exact affected streets are shown before the send.
-
Review, confirm, and keep the result
Preview the exact audience and channel split, confirm the send, then retain a row for every household with the provider result or reason it was skipped.
Control before speed
Built for the moment when there is no room to improvise.
At 3 a.m., the useful feature is not another option. It is a short, visible path with the dangerous choices already removed.
After the notice
A summary for the manager. A row for every household.
A total is useful for a quick check. The recipient-level record is what lets staff see who was attempted, delivered, failed, or skipped and why.
- Export the delivery record as a spreadsheet
- Print a formal notice report
- Send a correction to the original recipient set
- Publish current information on the district status page
Delivery summary
- Text delivered
- 1,420
- Text failed
- 67
- Skipped
- 13
Delivery status reflects the result returned by the messaging provider.

Common questions
What a district should know before a pilot.
Does this replace legally required notice methods?
No. WaterNotify is supplemental unless the relevant authority approves an alternative method. Each district remains responsible for its notice requirements.
How does zone targeting work?
The district assigns customer records to saved service zones. An operator chooses a zone and reviews its exact street list and recipient count before confirming.
Who can receive text messages?
Customers who separately consent to service-related messages from their agency. Replying STOP ends texts, and the opt-out is retained for future sends.
What is recorded after a send?
Each selected household keeps a status such as attempted, delivered, failed, or skipped, together with the channel, time, and available provider result.
